It’s been a while since I last posted here. It’s been a busy time with a few new jobs coming along including major shift changes at “the day job.” Things are looking up again as time is freeing up a little and the pursuit of photography jobs is back in force. We’ve just updated our business bank account and found someone to keep track of accounts, plus made some major steps forward with plans for progress and planned expansion into 2011. The procrastination has been put aside.
Summarising 2010 would be difficult, but I guess I should try. We did a fair amount of close up “jewellery” project work for an Edinburgh shop. It’s just around the corner from HQ which was useful for all concerned. We were able to keep costs down, while at the same time managing to keep a margin. I’ve enjoyed that particular project as it has turned into a friendship as much as a business transaction.
Rally Cross was also a fairly big item in 2010. Shooting the team photographs while travelling the country was excellent and was well and truly topped off with my application for a Motorsports licence. Being trained and let loose in a couple of the fastest cars I’ve ever seen was quite an experience. I completed a few races towards the end of 2010, performing relatively well which was a bonus. We’re looking into taking this photography and driving project further in 2011. We will get some photos on the site soon as the publication restriction is coming to an end.
Moving forward, we have a few projects lined up for 2011. An interesting one is to shoot some time-lapse video for a local warehousing company. We’re hoping for some nice weather in February; no snow please.
We are as always searching out new commercial projects, with the usual focus on Edinburgh and surrounding areas. If your business is looking for commercial shoots for window displays, menu’s, websites or other promotional items give us a call, or contact us by email. We’d be happy to meet you and quote for any projects you have.
So, it’s 2011, we hope to have a good year and we wish you the same. Thanks for dropping by, come back again for more soon.
